Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“Allowing the Holy Spirit to extend love through is a miracle.”
“In the past we may have thought of miracles as physical events: the saved life, the cured disease, the unexpected birth. These occurrences, however, aren’t the only examples of miracles. We feel miracles; they don’t depend on physical proof. In other words, miracles exist in our minds. What better place for them? It means we can all personally experience miracles daily.
Allowing our minds to express joy, happiness, and serenity means offering love as a matter of course. To do this, we need to align with the Holy Spirit rather than the ego, but that’s no challenge. It’s a decision we can make at will. Until we have a history of doing this, we can’t anticipate how smoothly our day will flow. That’s the miracle!
Being a “miracle-worker” is work we all have been called to do. No matter what profession or job we may have prepared for, it pales in comparison to the benefits of extending the love of the Holy Spirit to one another.”
“I will do my part in creating a miracle today.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Darkness is merely the absence of light, and fear is merely the absence of love. If we want to be rid of fear, we cannot fight it but must replace it with love.”
Carolyn Myss, Entering the Castle: “Let my soul go where I cannot go and let my soul go only with God…I detach as I pray. I put my soul in God’s hand to serve only good in this situation that I feel powerless to change.”
Eckhart Tolle, A New Earth: “On the surface, the present moment is ‘what happens.’ Since what happens changes continuously, it seems that every day of your life consists of thousands of moments in which different things happen. Time is seen as the endless succession of moments, some ‘good,’ some ‘bad.’
Unity’s Daily Word: “Resting the presence of pure peace, I experience serenity within my soul.”
“Envisioning myself looking at the still waters of a reflecting pool has a calming effect on me. Even when a wind temporarily disturbs or ruffles the pool’s surface, I understand that the water beneath remains still, and calm is soon restored to the surface.”
“I, too, have an inner tranquility. Its source is the love of God that is always within me, keeping me serene, secure, and confident when I most need to be. God’s peace-giving love radiates from within me, and because it does, I influence the people around me in positive ways. The more I radiate peace to others, the more it is reflected back to me from the love of God within them.”
“I stay calm throughout all situations. Knowing that the peace-giving love of God is within all people helps me realize that peace is the reality for all people – here and now.”
A Course in Miracles: Lesson 274
“Today belongs to Love. Let me not fear.”
