ACIM Lesson for Today

Lesson 300

“Only an instant does this world endure.”

And we are choosing to “live” that total instant in the illusion we call “time.” All of this that we believe in has already occurred and is over with. Perhaps we failed to laugh at one comical situation, but have there not been so many, many more to laugh at, including this one of “time.” Along with time comes the aging and we go through this life trying at times to slow down time, slow down aging. Why not simply stop and look at ourselves and have a good laugh. This world was over in an instant. How long do we expect that we can drag an instant out?

What is the Second Coming?

The Second Coming is nothing more than the correction of mistakes and our return to the sanity of who we are. The Second Coming is just a part of the condition that corrects what never was and has us see it all in truth. The Second Coming is an invitation to us from God to have His Word replace all illusions. It is our willingness to see forgiveness wherever we look.

The Second Coming embraces our world and holds us safe within it. Forgiveness paves the way for the Second Coming which is without ending for it is a time where all of our minds become again as One with God; to become as they have forever been.

The Second Coming ceases all lessons of the Holy Spirit and makes way for the Final Judgment where learning stops and God Himself reaches out to us to have us join Him.

The Second Coming is one time when time has no effect on anything. In the Second Coming, all of us who have come to die, or will come to die or who are present in this moment, are all released from the death we have made. In this equal moment our minds are again made One and we see each other in that way. And God is pleased in what is seen.

We pray that the Second Coming will be soon. The Second Coming requires our eyes and ears and hands and feet. It requires our voice and mostly our willingness. We are happy to be able to do God’s Will and we join together in the holy light. We see the Son of God in everyone and anyone we look upon and we feel the Oneness with them. We know we can reach God through them and they through us.
