Yea and Amen!

Our spiritual philosophy of Science of Mind reveals a different approach to prayer than most of us learned as children. Most of us raised in traditionally Christian faiths prayed on our knees, pleading for God's attention and hoping He would give us what we asked for even as we prepared ourselves for denial.

In Religious Science we profess that affirmative prayer is always answered affirmatively. We teach that God's response is always , "Yea and amen! Despite this conviction our prayers sometimes don't seem to produce the desired results.

If you perceive that your prayer isn't being answered, consider this: If God's answer is always yes you will never have that for which you ask or say you need. Why? Because your very request for something you want is a statement of lack. In prayer saying you want more or need something only works to produce that precise experience in your reality the experience of want or need, not have.

If your prayer is "God I desire a better job and more money " the response will be. "Yes, you desire a better job and more money. Yea and amen to that! The prayer of supplication will never produce a demonstration of tangible good. That is why Science of Mind teaches people to speak their word and claim and accept their good, we never urge people to ask for their good. Change your thinking, change your language and change your life!

Affirm: Today I accept my good as already given, present and available to me now. I rejoice that God says Yes! to me even before I speak. All is well.
