Let me remember in all my relationships today that my purpose is for joining.
Much of the communication we have with others includes questions and comments that project attack and ultimately cause separation. When asking our children how or what they did in school today we are often looking for what they might have done wrong so we might correct it. Some of us feel that we were put in life only to correct and criticize others. We often choose to be faultfinders instead of love finders, looking for the way to separate instead of join. So much of our conversation and prejudices put people into categories causing further fragmentation and separation.
In our business and professional life we need to look for a way to join with another person.
In each encounter today let me ask myself the question, Is this conversation for joining or for separation? Is what I am saying loving to the other person or myself?
Today let me remember that the purpose of each and every encounter is for joining and I choose to find at least one way to do that with each person that I meet.
