Seeds for the Garden of your Mind

July 5

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“Be still.”

“Often we grudgingly and hurriedly move from on activity to the next, feeling out of time and short of breath. Is there really that much to do? Some of us keep ourselves busy in order to feel worthwhile. If that’s the case, let’s remember that it’s the ego, not our real self, that perceives lack of worth. We simply need a change of mind, now, and then we can rest. The stillness awaits us. In the stillness we heal.

Beginning each day with a time of stillness gives us a chance to remember the Holy Spirit. That’s no guarantee that we will not be ruled by the ego in the next hour, but each recollection make the next one easier. Practice makes it natural to turn to the Holy Spirit for the guidance and the peace we deserve.

We need not be busy all the time. We need not be busy ever, in fact. It’s our choice to be peaceful or busy. We’ll do a better job of the former if we have been still for a few moments.”

“Going peacefully through today
is easiest if I’ve had some quiet time with the Holy Spirit.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom:     “Happiness is a sign that we have accepted God’s will.”

Hugh Prater, Morning Notes:          “Peace and perfection cannot be found in the body. “Ask not of illness what spiritual mistake you made. Ask not what your accident means. Look not for order in chaos. Look not for meaning in the meaningless. Why do I keep demanding of my body what it is incapable of giving? What can be gained from judging myself for being physically vulnerable? God is the one thing in the universe that has meaning, and accident, disease, and tragedy are not a part of God.”

Wayne Dyer:     “Letting go of the concept of incurable allows you to truly move into the realm of perfect harmonious energy, which is what is meant by spiritual consciousness, and to realize that there is nothing in God consciousness that wants us to be warped or injured or plagued by disease.”

Paul Ferrini:          “Always look beyond appearances, for nothing is as it seems to be. When you know what you want and what you need, be patient and wait for it.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“There is no limit to what God and I can do together.”

“We may have had one of those days when nothing seemed to go right – a day when we seemed out of sync with what was going on around us.”

“Is there anything we could have done to change the way we experienced that day? Perhaps not all on our own, but there is no limit to what we can do when we work with God and let the presence of God work in and through us.”

“It is truly amazing what the power of God can do in any situation. The presence of God brings order where we see none and transforms negative energy into positive thoughts and actions.”

“With God, all things are possible. Amazed by the spirit of God that heals and makes us new, we are grateful that God’s spirit works in and through us and every situation to bring order and peace to our lives.”

A Course in Miracles:          Lesson 186

“Salvation of the world depends on me.”
