Others do not know what's best for us. We do not know what's best for others. It is our job to determine what's best for ourselves. Each of us is given the ability to be able to discern and detect our own path, on a daily basis. This is not always easy. We may have to struggle to reach that quiet, still place. We are responsible for listening to the information that comes to us. We are responsible for asking for guidance and direction. But it is our responsibility to sift and sort through information, and then listen to ourselves about what is best for us. Nobody can know that but ourselves.A great gift we can give to others is to be able to trust in them - that they have their own source of guidance and wisdom, that they have the ability to discern what is best for them and the right to find that path by making mistakes and learning. To trust ourselves to be able to discover - through that same imperfect process of struggle, trial, and error - is a great gift we can give ourselves.Today, I will remember that we are each given the gift of being able to discover what is best for ourselves. God, help me trust that gift.

"Forgiveness is like the martial arts of consciousness. In Aikido and, other martial arts, we sidestep our attacker's force rather than resisting it. The energy of the attack then boomerangs back in the direction of the attacker. Our power lies in remaining non-reactive. Forgiveness works in the same way. When we attack back, and defense is a form of attack, we initiate a war that no one can win."Marianne Williamson
AA Thought of the Day / Such is the paradox of A.A. regeneration: strength arising out of complete defeat and weakness, the loss of one's old life as a condition for finding a new one. / A.A. Comes of Age, p. 46
The Work [used in many spiritual traditions to refer to the Work of God] wants your life -- but only when you are in a love affair with life itself, only when you are bright, strong, confident, capable, in short: ALIVE. The Work does not want some kind of dull, dispassionate, struggling, agonizing humanoid. To give your life to the Work is to give breath and activity to the Work everyday; to give passion to the Work everyday. You have to have a childlike, eternal beginner's mind [approaching each moment as new], a belief in miracles, like, "Any day anything can happen!"
Lee Lozowick
This inner, instinctual search - a search for God - is inborn in all people. Eastern philosophy teaches we will never be satisfied until we become still - until we stop moving, doing, thinking, remodeling, and attending to outer sensations, and start listening within. A divine plan is unfolding, and when our soul is ready, we'll participate.
Jane Katra
Find ways to let others know you appreciate them. When you continually find fault and criticize another, they wither up like a flower without water. Show love and appreciation, and they will blossom.

"Take control of your destiny. Believe in yourself. Ignore those who try to discourage you. Avoid negative sources, people, places, things and habits. Don't give up and don't give in."Wanda Carter
Learn to see things as they really are, not as we imagine they are.Vernon Howard
