Change

Change the only constant, works miracles everyday. You see these miracles happening all around you. Seasons come and go, the sun rises and sets a tree outside your window bears leaves that turn color and then fall, years pass and so life flows along like a river current, carrying you in its gentle stream. These normal accustomed kinds of changes you accept readily. Life is moving forward with an easy smoothness, and even though change is involved still it is not drastic or unpredictable.

But then one day you hit the rapids the white water. The river of your life is not so smooth now. Change takes on a wholly different aspect during these periods. It's disruptive unsettling and scary. Familiar ground seems to slip from under you. Your firm footing gives way to a terrifying sense of insecurity. it feels more as if you are being battered by the current than buoyed. What is happening is that your soul has become ready to release limited beliefs and negative patterns of behavior. A process of removal has begun.

When conditions feel so adverse, it is often difficult to believe that God's power is at work in your life. Just the opposite seems to be so. Yet even in the midst of circumstances you don't understand, you can affirm that God's love is healing, strengthening, and preparing the way for good. Regardless of appearances, you can trust God to bring order to chaos and peace to tumult. So instead of focusing your attention on the turbulent activity around you, let your thought be reflective now of Spirit's eternal calm and order, "Be still and know that I am God"

For change is simply the process by which Spirit fills your soul more fully with Its love and light. The old must die in order for that which is already present within you but not yet expressive to be born. A transformation is occurring at the deepest level of your being. Change may seem harsh as it uproots the weeds of resentment, intolerance, selfishness, traits all of us must relinquish, but remember that change tills the soil of your divine nature. In doing so it brings forth new growth. It makes possible the blossoming of peace, harmony, and joy. As you keep this truth in mind, you become more open to each new experience and to whatever the future may hold.

A new you is being born. The familiar way of life is no longer provides an adequate container for your unfolding higher self. Even though you may want to hold on to your old ways and former circumstances deep down you are aware that it is time to let go of them. So simply allow these things to be held in your heart, loved, blessed, and then gently released. Take as long as you need for this process but do it. For you are now entering into a wonderful new experience. Even if the path ahead appears uncertain you can quite any anxiety with the knowledge that Spirit is continually bestowing a greater good upon you, as It works in and through you. The gift of a more abundant life comes when you release the old and allow change to work its miracles.
