Seeds for the Garden of your MInd

August 4

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“Nothing in this world means anything.”

“The pain of living – the injured child, the broken heart, the dying parent – feels very significant. Yet the Course says that everything in this world is meaningless. Do our lives, then, mean nothing? What the Course is trying to tell u s is that in our separation from God, we created this world of problems. It didn’t create us, and in the Real World, from whence we came and to where we’ll return, there remains only God and love. In that world we are composed of both. And in that world we can continue to live if that’s our choice.”

“Practically speaking, though, we are here in these bodies for the moment, which means we have to acknowledge the other bodies around us. We can look upon them acceptingly, knowing that the details we see are up to us. Asking the Holy Spirit to help us see them as they really are will relieve us of the burden of trying to make them different or better.”

“It’s not easy to explain to a stranger of the Course how our view of the world is changing. But it is. We feel it, and it feels good.”

“I don’t need to react to the turmoil around me today.

If I put my focus on peace and love, the turmoil will leave.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “The ego seeks to use other people to fulfill our needs as we define them. When we try to use a relationship to serve our own purposes, we falter because we are reinforcing our illusion of need.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “When I am happy, I don’t need to look over my shoulder. “The reason to examine nothingness is to see that it is nothing. Nonsense must be recognized, it can be forgotten. It will not come back to bite us, because its only effects were the ones we ourselves created. To those standing in the light, darkness is no threat.”

Wayne Dyer: “When you let go of your fears you find your God nature, which returns you to the balanced state of body and mind that is in perfect harmony and problem-free.”

Paul Ferrini: “…love does not complain, argue or blame. Love simply embraces the other exactly as s/he is. Love overlooks fear, because fear is not ultimately real. It is a temporary wrinkle in the fabric of life.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“In the flow of divine order,

I move forward to fulfill my highest potential.”

“Perhaps I have a concern about my health, one of my relationships, or my career. Whatever it may be, could it be that I’ve been working very hard at trying to handle these problems all by myself, making decisions based on appearances?”

“As I release any need to control, I enter into the divine order that is constantly moving through life. Trusting in the wisdom of God, I stay in the flow of divine order.”

“By releasing concerns to God, I experience the ease with which my life unfolds. God loves me and that divine love is being expressed in all aspects of my life. In the flow of divine order, I move forward to fulfill my highest potential.”
