Seeds for the Garden of Your Mind

December 26

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“Understanding the valueness of material objects takes time.”

“Most of grew up believing life was about acquiring objects. Faster cars, more toys, bigger houses, better clothes. Now the Course says these mean nothing.

It’s not unusual to end up losing some things we had valued when we begin living the Course. The loss teaches us to know this lesson even though we may resist at first. We need friends we can turn to for support and clarity about our experiences if we’re overwhelmed by a loss. Our Teachers are everywhere. We merely have to notice them.

If nothing we see has any meaning, why do we see it? Let’s not forget the role the ego still plays. Our passage here is about seeing beyond or through the physical world to the love that is God. It’s a process and letting go of attachment to material things is our journey.”

“Today I need not be in a hurry to give up things.
My awareness of love will grow a bit every day.”

Marianne Williamson: “With the birth of Christ, not just once a year but in every moment, we allow ourselves to take on the mantle of divine Sonship, to be more that we were the moment before. We expand our self-awareness and self-identity.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Walk in gentleness. What the ego made, the mind can undo. Only the single purpose of harmlessness is required. A harmless mind extends in all directions and throughout all time. Those who walk in gentleness walk on holy ground.”

Wayne Dyer: “Yes, you will feel sad at various times in your life. No, you should not deny those feelings and pretend to be joyful. Yes, it is healthy to express these feelings, to honor them and not to feel guilty when you do experience them…If it is not of God it is not real, and everything is of God, and all that is of God is good.”

Paul Ferrini: “The truth is that you have everything that you need. Nothing you need has been withheld from you. In this sense, you can only ‘need’ what you don’t need.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“Christ is reborn in me as wisdom that guides me in all directions.”

“Just as angels guided the shepherds to the stable, so too, does the wisdom of Christ within guide me.”

“When making a decision, I rely on the inner guidance of Christ so that what I decided to do or not to do, to say or not to say, is wise and considerate, loving and caring. I am focused on expressing Christlike qualities.”

“Nothing is too insignificant or too monumental for me to decide when I hold it in the light of Christ. From a simple ‘aha’ moment to a revelation that leads to a turning point in my life, I am guided in thought and action.”

“I know with confidence that the wisdom of Christ is my sure and steady guide in making all decisions.”

A Course in Miracles: Lessons 360

“Peace be to me, the holy Son of God.
Peace to my brother, who is one with me.
Let all the world be blessed with peace through us.
