Seeds for the Garden of Your Mind

March 19

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“Perpetual joy is possible.”

“How can we believe that constant joy is possible? What about a job loss or divorce? The death of a friend or parent? Even getting cut off in traffic or losing a billfold affects our attitude.

The Course asks us to do a passionate overhaul of how we think. Fortunately, the overhaul is easier to do than imagined. All that’s required is to develop the understanding that “nothing really matters” because this experience is merely an illusion. Regardless of how a situation looks, it holds no command over us. The cynical among us will call that denial; however, those who wholeheartedly try it will experience it as joy.

But how can nothing matter? Let’s remember that we’re on a mission in this life. Our experiences are simply learning opportunities. They are meant to teach us, not control how we think or who we are. We are completely in the care of God through the presence of the Holy Spirit in every situation. Joy is our prerogative.”

“The decision to let whatever happens to be simply noticed, nothing more, frees me.
I am able to do exactly this today if I so choose.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Crucifixion is the energy pattern of fear, the manifestation of a closed heart. Resurrection is the reversal of that pattern, brought about by a shift in thought from fear to love.”

Morning Notes, Hugh Prather: “God made me whole and God is everlasting. What do I need from another ego that God has not already given me? Is there a gap in eternity? Are there parentheses in Truth? If I am incomplete, my Source could not be whole. To be one with another, even for an instant, is to have everything, for God is One.”

Wayne Dyer: “Everything that you need to fight weakens you, while that which you are for empowers you. I am asking you to be for yourself. With an attitude of self-responsibility, you will notice that the heavens are exceedingly cooperative. Getting the heavens to cooperate means getting yourself out a complaining mind-set and into one of total self-responsibility.”

Paul Ferrini: “To discover the One Self in yourself, you must surrender to the uniqueness of your life experience. You must claim your own authentic process and journey. The more you individuate, the closer you come to touching the universal experience. All who touch the universal experience by walking through the door of Self fall directly into the heart. They no longer have to talk about love or forgiveness. They are the essence of love and forgiveness.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“The joy of God is being expressed by me and reflected back to me.”

“If ever I feel sad or disappointed, I pause to tap into the joy of God that is present within me. In meditation and prayer, I reawaken to the joy that is from God and let it guide, comfort, and strengthen me.”

“As a creation of God, I am an expression of joy. My acts of kindness return to me, my words of caring enhance my friendships, and my expressions of compassion bless those around me.”

“Being conscious of the joy of God within my soul, I see joy being reflected back to me everywhere I turn. Joy is my natural state of being as I deepen my awareness of God within me and within all creation.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 78

“Let miracles replace all grievances.”

Let me take all my grievances that I believe I have, and change my thoughts about them all. Then what do I have? Only thoughts of love, of truth. God hold no grievances, so why do I try? I can but change my mind and think as God thinks.

I believe this. I believe that the more we claim our own true authenticity, the more we are similar. People get loss in unimportant matters, feeding the ego.
