Seeds for the Garden of Your Mind

March
Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“We and Jesus are One.”

“According to old Christian beliefs, to the beliefs still held by many of our acquaintances, the idea that we are the same of Jesus is sacrilegious. How refreshing our new perspective is. It makes Jesus so much more human and accessible, and it allows us to sense our holiness. It also means that the love Jesus felt for all humanity can be transferred to us by a mere acknowledgement of our inner capacity to love.

Knowing that we and Jesus are One also helps us believe we are worthy souls. Jesus, as the teacher, taught love and acceptance. That was his purpose. Forgives was also his purpose. Those are our lessons are well. We learn what we will teach; we teach what we need to learn.

In spite of the attacks on Jesus’ life, he loved wholly. He say beyond the attack. He recognized the love of God even when it was invisible to others. We, too, can see only love if that’s our choice. Jesus showed us the way. Let’s follow his lead.”

“I am at peace and I will see only love today.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “God is more than capable of direct contact with each of us, as we are capable of direct contact with Him. Each of us has equal capacity for divine thought.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Without forgiveness, I live in a hostile world. The problem is not ‘needing to forgive’ one’s father, mother, partner, ex-spouse, third grade teacher, or supervisor at work. The problem is unforgiveness itself. Until I question the need to judge altogether and stop reserving the right to be right, I remain alone in the world. No living thing is wholly welcome in my mind, and no individual has a reliable place in my heart.”

Wayne Dyer, There’s a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem: “There is no reason for you to sit around and wait to be favored with a spiritual experience, because most likely it is not going to happen that way.”

Paul Ferrini, Reflections of The Christ Mind: “To be spiritual is to see without judgment, to see not just with the eyes, but also with the heart.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“God is my unfailing source of love and comfort.”

“Loss of any kind – anyone, anything in my life – may leave me feeling as if I am a stranger in a strange land. The familiar may seem unfamiliar, and the routine, a challenge.”

“Yet, as I come home in awareness to the truth that God’s loving presence is always with me, I no longer feel lost or alone. Knowing that I am eternally in the presence of divine love, I am comforted and strengthened. God’s love fills every seeming void. I hold no thought of lack.”

“God has given me life. I am blessed each day as my life continues to unfold in the presence and care of my Creator. As I dedicate my thoughts and intentions, my words and actions to living a fulfilling life, this is the life I experience. God is my unfailing source of love and comfort.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 81

Review Lesson 61 and 62
Lesson 61: “I am the light of the world.”
Lesson 62: “Forgiveness is my function as the light of the world.”

I am the light of my world and my function as such, is forgiveness, and only forgiveness. The forgiveness is of my thoughts I hold with which I see my world and those I have placed within it. My function is to replace my thoughts of fear with thoughts of love. This is what forgiveness is. And forgiveness is my only function in this world. And that should relay to me a very important fact – if forgiveness is my only function and I am the light of the world, then I must need to be aware of my function at all times. If my world appears dark even within the daylight, I know I am not performing my function.

I choose to be at peace today, see only love. Yes.
