Are you balanced? Do you share your time, your energy, your life, as much with yourself as you do with those around you? We all know how simple it is to say "yes, yes, yes" each time someone makes a request. After all, it makes us feel good, makes us feel needed, makes us feel loved. And the more we say yes, the more they ask of us. And we tell ourselves this is an example of even more love.
But soon we say yes to too many things. We get bitter about our relationships. Can't they do anything for themselves? Nothing would get done around here if it weren't for me. Isn't there anyone else who can help? After a while, things don't get done, promises go unfulfilled, relationships break down. And so do we.
It doesn't have to be that way. Know your limits. You are one of the most important people you need to look after and love. Balance your time, your energy, your life with those around you. You will be able to give more freely and joyfully as a result, and you'll be more open to the gifts of the universe.
It's not wrong to give to others. But it's okay to say yes, to ourselves, too.
God, help me live a life. Help me learn when it's time to say yes to myself.

Your life is an opportunity to experience your Divine nature. You are here to bear witness to the glory of the One who has given you life. As we read in Ephesians "now are you light in the Lord. Walk as children of light." How might you walk, feel and believe, remembering that you bask in this light?

AA Thought for the Day / I had to realize that of myself I had no power to help myself. The day came, by the grace of God, when I had that "moment of truth". In shame and despair, I went to my first AA meeting. By some minor miracle, I was able to suspend opinion, analysis, judgment, and criticism, and instead to listen and hear.
I heard someone say that AA works for those who work for it, those who put action into the program. The first step in the process of "coming to believe" had been taken. / c. 1973 AAWS, Came to Believe . . ., p. 42
When love is missing in our lives, we must look at ourselves and see how we are not being loving to ourselves and to others. Since what we give out comes back, then if we're short on love, we need to give ourselves and others love, and then there will be plenty of love to go around.
Love is the easiest thing to give, because you can never run out. If you try to fill needs with "things" or time, these are commodities that are, by their very nature, limited. But if you give love, then you can never run out.
Marie T. Russell
"Abundance does not mean that you have a lot of money or material possessions. It means that you have what you need, use it wisely, and what you don't need to others.
Your life has poise, balance, and integrity. You don't have too little. You don't have too much."
Paul Ferrini
"How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these."
--George Washington Carver
In archery, "sin," means "to miss the mark," to make a mistake. When we make mistakes in our lives, God knows and understands, and loves us anyway.

"I can heal myself on all levels. Healing means to make whole and to accept all parts of myself - not just the parts I like, but all of me."
Louis L. Hay
We must see resistances to the truth, such as fear and hostility, for what they are - resistances to the very harmony we wish.
Vernon Howard
Action is the product of the qualities inherent in nature.
