Seeds for the Garden of your Mind

October 25

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“There are no coincidences.”

“It’s reassuring to hear that we are exactly where we need to be. It’s even more reassuring to know that we will be drawn toward those people who have much to teach us. We can live free of worry if we suspend our fear and judgments and simply trust that we’re moving in the right direction all the time.

This doesn’t mean that we won’t take a detour occasionally and end up in a hurtful situation. But we’ll recognize, instantly, that we got off course. When this happens, the solution is to ask the Holy Spirit for help and a new direction. One will come to us. In the meantime, we have an opportunity to practice the principles of the Course by offering love even though it’s not immediately returned.

Wherever we are, we have “work” to do. And the job is always the same. The uncertainty that plagued us for so many years is gone forever. We have heard the call and we are its messengers.”

“I am in the company of the people who need me most today.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Deciding how an event should go does not control the event. From the moment they get out of bed, most people begin unconsciously practicing the mistake of deciding in advance how each little event should go – how long it should take, how they should perform, how circumstances should unfold. And as usual, the day perversely refuses to go along. The great common gate through which most annoyances and irritations attack my peace is expectation. This despite the fact that no one can predict precisely what they will be doing even five minutes from now. When I buy in my ego’s expectations, I immediately forsake my present mental stability.”

Wayne Dyer, “Be persistent in acting as if it is impossible to fail.”

Paul Ferrini: “One of the great ‘Ahahs’ on the spiritual path is the recognition that you don’t have to make your life happen. It happens by itself.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“The peace of God fortifies my thoughts
and actions with harmony.”

“If at any time I feel out of harmony with another, I calm my thoughts by spending a few moments in silent contemplation on the peace of God at the core of my being. God’s peace is gentle but powerful, fortifying my thoughts with harmony.”

“Like a soothing balm, a peace that is divine in nature moves gently through my thoughts to diffuse any that are not in keeping with the kind of loving and friendly relationships I desire to have. As my thoughts become more and more harmonious, I feel at peace in mind, body, and spirit.”

“Inspired to be a harmonizer in my home, workplace, and neighborhood, I cooperate with others. Mutual understanding is the standard in all my relationships as I remain open to divine direction in reaching out to others in harmony and peace.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 298

“I love You, Father, and I love Your Son.”

Namaste – Ron
