Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“This Course is alien to all that we’ve believed before.”
“When we try to tell others what we are learning in A Course in Miracles, we’re often met with resistance. Most people aren’t comfortable with an extremely different worldview. Saying that the world we think we’re experiencing is not the Real World, sounds far-fetched. It may have sounded that way to us in the beginning too.
Leaders of Course study groups often suggest that we not try to educate those who are not ready. But after learning that we aren’t separate from them, that we are all One, that notion seems odd too. How do we make sense of all this? Let’s ask for a different vision and wait for it to come. We are promised peace if that’s what we want. All we have to be willing to do is get quiet rather than try to create solutions to problems that we don’t understand.”
“If I have trouble explaining how I think today,
I’ll give up the attempt and offer love and acceptance instead.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Everything we do is infused with the energy with which we do it. If we’re frantic, life will be frantic. If we’re peaceful, life will be peaceful. And so our goal in any situation becomes inner peace.”
Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Forgiveness is vision free of the past. A judgmental feeling about another person is based on the same belief as my fear of making mistakes: I think that what someone once did is more important than how the person is now. The work before me is to practice fully absorbing people as they are this instant. Taking them in as if for the first time. Obviously, I won’t accomplish this if their past dominates my perception.”
Wayne Dyer: “In many ways bringing light to the presence of darkness is a way to bring spiritual solution to a problem.”
Paul Ferrini: “Today you drink deeply from the fountain of my love. Tomorrow you will be the fountain.”
Unity’s Daily Word:
“I think and live as the free person I am.”
“A familiar story from Exodus reminds me of the freedom that God’s guidance brings me. In this Bible story, God provided the way for Moses and his followers to cross the Red Sea. Following that guidance, they were free from the past and free to enjoy a new way of life.”
“This story represents my own freedom. Guided by God, my thoughts and desires for release from any limitations are strengthened and fulfilled. Old, restrictive thoughts and behaviors are washed away.”
“God has already provided for my freedom. I discover the way to experience it through daily prayer, which supports me in thinking and living as the free person I truly am.”
A Course in Miracles: Lesson 306
“The gift of Christ is all I seek today.”
