Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“No special relationship works.”
“We are learning a whole new meaning for “special” since being introduced to the Course. The negative references to special relationships confuse us initially. To the ego, the special relationship is the only relationship, and the ego created it to meet its needs. What are those needs?
The ego seeks control and superiority over everyone. To do that, it has to attack and blame almost every person it encounters. The Course teaches that there is another kind of relationship. It’s called the holy relationship.
In holy relationships we seek to see our Oneness with others; we seek to express only love. The joining of these souls allows for transcendence over the material obstacles created by the ego. A holy relationship “works.” The participants in a holy relationship know God.”
“If I am caught in a special relationship today,
I’ll remember I can make it a holy one.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “ A miracle frees us to live fully in the present, to release our power and to claim our glory. The Son of God is risen to Heaven when he releases the past, releases the future, and thus releases himself to be who he is today.”
Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “My anxiety always indicates a conflicted purpose. When my heart has only one voice, I am free. As I work to know myself and become one thing, I stop fearing my own will because I stop doubting my own goodness. In this way I see why goodness is not confined to me.”
Wayne Dyer: “From the perspective of truth only, you shine the light of truth on all problems and they literally fade away under the intense scrutiny of that light. Nothing is hidden, nothing is concealed.”
Paul Ferrini: “My disciples do not focus on what is missing or what needs to be corrected. They focus on what is right and what is good.”
Unity’s Daily Word:
“Trusting in God,
I embrace a life filled with good.”
“It is not necessary for me to know how my good will come to me or when it will appear. At all times and in all ways, I trust in God for my highest good.”
“I open my life to that good by letting go of the past, knowing that it has no power over me. I let go of concerns about the future, releasing all of my tomorrows into God’s loving care. Free from regrets about the past and free from worries about the future, I live in the present moment.”
“With God as my constant guide and companion, I am at peace. Just as I know that love is enfolding me, I also know this truth for those who are dear to me. God is guiding them on their right paths.”
“Placing my trust in God, I am ready to embrace a life filled with good!”
A Course in Miracles: Lesson 319
“I came for the salvation of the world.”
