Seeds for The Garden of Your Mind

November 22

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“Holy Relationships come from joining with another fully
in the presence of the Holy Spirit.”

“Not every relationship is holy. But all of them can become holy if we see and revere the Spirit within each person. When this happens we stop looking for what we can get from the person and start looking for what we can give to the relationship. We know that loving acceptance and total forgiveness draws us together as One. Holiness lies therein.

The ego, in its need to control others, doesn’t make room for the Holy Spirit. As a consequence, it forces relationships to be self-serving. The inherent tension and struggle that result restrict growth and prevent any sense of well-being. It’s difficult to feel and offer love in a relationship that’s mean-spirited.

It’s unfortunate and not accidental, that either person in a relationship can move it toward a holy one. The desire for peace and the willingness to forgive simply have to be greater than the wish to be right and in control.”

“I can help to make a relationship holy by my actions alone.
Today is bound to offer me the opportunity I need.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Forgiveness of mankind, of everyone in every circumstance, is our ticket to Heaven, our only way home.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “All that is right, all that is meaningful, resides in God. It is not possible to think correctly about what is not God. However, it is possible to allow God to do the thinking. When something upsetting occurs, gently refuse to case about for the best or ‘highest’ position to take. Instead, turn to God and say, ‘Show me how you look at this,’ and God will give you an experience rather than on opinion.”

Wayne Dyer: “If only once in a day, stop in the midst of a dark moment and look for the beauty nearby.”

Paul Ferrini: “When you learn to love yourself, you cannot help loving others. It is not hard to do. It is automatic.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“The light of God shines on my path.
I am safe and secure.”

“In prayer, I focus on the well-being of my loved ones, myself, and people everywhere who need to be supported in prayer.”

“For all of us traveling today – to work or the store, across town or continents – I affirm that God’s spirit guides us on our way. I may be thinking of an individual or a family who is traveling to a place far from home for a time of reunion or relaxation. I bless those travelers on their journeys and know that the light of God is shining on their paths wherever they go.”

“This divine light is wisdom that illumines my path and the paths of those I hold dear. I envision us guided so that we realize our greatest fulfillment wherever we are, wherever we may travel. At home or away, the light of God is with my dear ones and me, and in that light, we are safe and secure.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 326

“I am forever an Effect of God.”
