Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“How can I know God’s will for me?”
“How commonly we fret trying to decipher God’s will for us. We make the search quite complicated. We ask first one person and then another what we should do, and then we second-guess the suggestion. We generally evaluate them according to their benefits for us personally and discard ideas that aren’t self-serving . The net result is seldom the peace we deserve, the peace that is truly God’s will for each of us.”
“We can make our search easy. All we ever need to do is ask ourselves one question: “Is what I’m about to do or say or think a loving expression?” If the answer isn’t yes, we are not fulfilling God’s will. And every time we offer love to a friend or stranger, we are. Knowing, as we now do, what God’s will for us is every minute promises us the peace we so much deserve. Our changed demeanor will contribute to the peacefulness of everyone else too.”
“God’s will is no mystery.
If I want to live it today, my assignment is easy.
Give only love.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “The purpose of life is to grow into our perfection. Once we call on God, everything that could anger us is on the way. Why? Because the place we where we go into anger instead of love is our wall. Any situation that pushes our buttons is a situation where we don’t yet have the capacity to be unconditionally loving.”
Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Awareness, not guilt, is the healing response to painful patterns. Properly seen, behavioral patterns are artifacts in the museum of life. They are little chunks of our history that invite exploration. Ask yourself, ‘How does this pattern work? What does it usually attach itself to? How does it come? How does it go? And why does it stay?’ This is not dwelling on a mistake, but unraveling it to make it powerless.”
Wayne Dyer: “Consider how time seems to pass when you are joyful, versus the passage of time when you are in a state of grief or sadness. When you are inspired and involved joyfully in a project, time seems to fly.”
Paul Ferrini: “When you know that you are worthy of love, you tend to interpret the words and actions of others in a loving way. You do not easily take offense. If someone is rude to you, you consider the possibility that s/he may be having a bad day. You don’t feel victimized or abused.”
Unity’s Daily Word:
“The Christ of my being fills my heart with love.
I am calm and at peace.”
“There is a presence of love within me that cannot be disturbed. This sacred presence is the Christ of my being.”
“Wherever I am, I can turn within to this heart of love and know the peace that passes all understanding. As I lay any burdensome thoughts and memories down, I enter into a consciousness of peace. Calm and serene, I know and see myself as the beloved creation of God I was created to be. Through the understanding that comes from deep within me, I am patient with myself and with others. I am an instrument of peace.”
“The love of Christ fills my heart and shines forth from within me, guiding every step I take and every word I speak. In all circumstances, I am calm and at peace.”
A Course in Miracles: Lesson 349
“Today I let Christ’s vision look upon all things for me
and judge them not,
but give each one a miracle of love instead.”
