Seeds for the Garden of Your Mind

December 21

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“Our healed mind is our choice.”

“With little difficulty we can recognize a paranoid mind or a terrified one. Observing someone’s behavior quickly informs us whether or not their mind is disturbed. We can just as quickly distinguish a peaceful mind, one that we assume is healthy. The important question is, “How does one attain the latter?”

We can query the happy souls we meet and seek their formula for living. It’s probable tha many paths lead to the state of joy. This suggests that there are many ways to find peace. And for that, we can be glad. We don’t have to become clones of those we admire; though picking up some cues to find more peace in our own lives makes good sense.

Those of us studying the Course are particularly lucky because we have a specific path we can travel that’s guaranteed to heal our minds. We’ll attain hours of peace and joy if we request to see our Oneness and join with other anytime we feel disturbed with a sensation. Our minds will change. Healing is a choice.”

“I can tell immediately if my mind is healthy or sick by how I respond to others.
Today I’ll respond with love.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “With our prayers we invite Him in, He who is already there. With prayer, we speak to God. With miracles, He responds.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “When I approach any task indifferently, I abandon God and I abandon who I am. To anticipate greater happiness in an upcoming activity that the one I am engaged in is to overlook where the divine is located. When I do what is before me impeccably, kindly, and peacefully, I do it in the company of angels.”

Wayne Dyer: “…if you try to bring happiness to someone else then joy will come to you.”

Paul Ferrini: “How can Divine Law support you when you are trying to fix yourself or others? Only when you stop trying to fix can that which is whole and unbroken reveal itself to you.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“I am complete in the Christ Presence.
I give thanks for the gifts of Spirit.”

“Especially during the Christmas season, I may recognize blessings all around – my friends and family, home-cooked food, or Christmas gifts under the tree.”

“However, the gifts of Spirit, such as love, wisdom, and peace, are awaiting my acceptance of them in every moment of every day. Such blessings flow from the Christ Presence within. Centered in an awareness of this truth, I know that I am complete. I am open to prosperity that materializes as abundant blessings of every kind.”

“I move through the holy season, and each season, with thanksgiving for my health, my home, my income, and my entire well-being. I trust in and accept the blessings of the One Source of all good.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 355

“There is no end to all the peace and joy,
and all the miracles that I will give,
when I accept God’s Word.
Why not today?”
