Seeds for the Garden of Your Mind

December 22

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“Bringing a problem to the light dissolves it.”

“Most of us have exaggerated even the simplest concerns by incessantly focusing on them. Our worry never dissipated them. When we were lucky, the demands in other areas of our lives forced us to relinquish our attention. Presto! The situation often “righted” itself. Why didn’t we learn from that lesson?”

“The road we travel today has done for us what we couldn’t do before. We know now that putting the light of the Holy Spirit on any problem offers us a different understanding of it. Even when we think a situation is bent on destroying us, we can discover freedom from it by a mere change in perspective. Was it hard to get to this realization? Not really. A little willingness was all we needed.”

“Unfortunately, discovering the payoff of a different vision doesn’t mean we’ll seek one every time we are in trouble. The grasp of the ego on our minds is simply too great, too seductive on occasion. It’s advantageous that we journey with others who can help us remember the better way.”

“I am at the mercy of a struggle today only if I want to be.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “In understanding ourselves, we come to understand the world. In allowing ourselves to heal, we become the healers of the world. In praying for peace, we become bringers of peace.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Do all things as if for your Beloved. Once God’s love is felt, all problems of motivation cease. And yet, when I feel no divine connection, I can still live my life as if the connection were still there, because in Truth it is. No block to peace can long endure an open heart and a willing mind. Today I will dedicate each mean, each task, each activity to God.”

Wayne Dyer: “You come into this life with nothing and you leave with nothing. The only thing you can do with your life is give it away. This is the true essence of feeling purposeful.”

Paul Ferrini: “You can give and receive only what you have, not what you don’t have. The attempt to give or receive what you do not have is futile. It can end only in disappointment and sorrow.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“The love of God surrounds, enfolds, and upholds me.”

“The promise that Jesus gave His followers is true for me today: ‘I am with you always.’ This confirmation of God’s love for all, through the indwelling Christ Spirit, reminds me that I am never alone. The power of God’s love comforts and strengthens me in all that I experience.”

“When I think of people who are no longer a part of my life, I remember that just as God’s love is eternal, so too, is life eternal. The love of God surrounds me, enfolds me, and upholds me.”

“God’s comforting, strengthening love is also within the people I care about. I hold a prayer within my heart for all of them and for all the people in the world who need comfort. Praying for others from the love of God, I myself as comforted.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 356

“Sickness is but another name for sin.
Healing is but another name for God.
The miracles is thus a call to Him.”
