Seeds for the Garden of Your Mind

January 15

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“Asking for what we really want is necessary.”

“It’s important to ask for what we really want, because our lives will reflect that which we dwell on. What we dwell on may bring us only pain unless we are specific and intent on the opposite. When looked at this way, we discover that life is not nearly as mysterious as we might have imagined. This doesn’t make it any less interesting, however. Only more peaceful.

How do we know what we really want? Perhaps that’s our main point of confusion. But looking inward we’ll find the answer we deserve. That’s where the Holy Spirit resides. Our safety and happiness are assured if we let that quiet voice direct us. How can we be sure that’s the voice we hear? By evaluating the message. Is it one of love? If not, getting quiet is the best, next step.

“I may not be certain what I want today,
but the Holy Spirit’s voice will clarify it for me.
My task is to ask.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Silent contemplation, or meditation, is as important a factor in spiritual transformation as is prayer. Along with reading spiritual literature, prayer and meditation form the backbone of our daily practice.”

Paul Ferrini, Reflections of The Christ Mind: “Some of you believe that I alone was resurrected. Yet you are raised from death by the power of love every time your remember who you are and who your brother is. Every time love is given or received, death is vanquished. For everything dies, except love. Only the love you have given or received lives forever.”

Wayne Dyer: “The problem that faces most of us in becoming manifesters and learning to manage the circumstances of our lives is that we have forfeited our ability to oscillate between the world of form and the unseen world.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“Enfolded in God’s loving presence,
I am safe and confident.”

“Wherever I am and wherever I go in the world, the spirit of God is with me. I am always enfolded in the love of God.”

“Perhaps this day is one that will require me to travel. Whether I am going just down the street or across town or ever across the country, I know that God is right there with me. Guiding me.”

“I may be starting a job or taking an added responsibilities in the one I already have. God is with me, guiding me and helping me stay focused on what is before me. With God’s love assuring me, I am at peace in any environment.”

“I can never be separated from God’s love, for God’s presence is with me always. Enfolded in God’s loving presence, I am safe and confident wherever I may be.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 15

“My thoughts are images that I have made.”
