Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“We were created to be in Heaven, not this world.”
“Why are we here? The correct answer offers little solace. The Course says we’re not really here; we only think we are. Confusing? Yes. But together we can understand it. First though, we have to accept in faith that God was the Creator and He is eternally present in Heaven. At one time, we were unified with God and nothing that we now see existed, but in an unexplainable moment, the ego was born and this nightmare evolved.
We are in this nightmare still. We can return to Heaven anytime we wish; however, the ego easily convinces us that nothing but this world exists. We have only the faintest recollection of the other world, and we only have it when we have tired of the ego’s control and sought refuge of the quiet within. Then and only then are we in touch with God, thus Heaven. In the quiet space of our minds, we can hear the humble voice of the Holy Spirit. We can listen to it if we want. We can experience peace, and we can be free of conflict and fear. Heaven is available now.”
“I experience Heaven today.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Death shall be the last enemy,” said Jesus. What He meant was that we would no longer perceive death as an enemy. The spirit does not die, but rather enters new channels of life.”
Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Only decisions made in peace can be carried out in peace. There is no right thought about any issue or difficulty, yet the ego searches ceaselessly to come up with one. Ultimately, this mental agitation is more distressing that the problem I face. There are countless good ways to proceed but only one good motivation. Any time I act in peace, I ensure peace of mind within the outcome.”
Wayne Dyer: “Make the choice to notice the beauty which graces your day. Throughout the day stop to gaze and feel gratitude for moments of beauty in your life.”
Paul Ferrini: “Being a healer or miracle worker means accepting your inherent capacity to be free of conflict, free of guilt, free of judgment or blame. If you accept this capacity in yourself, you will demonstrate miracles in your life just as I did.”
Unity’s Daily Word:
“I now rest in the sacred environment of God’s absolute peace
and pure love.”
“When I think about coming home, I may remember scenes of my childhood or I may simply bring to mind the familiar place I now call home. The greatest feeling of homecoming occurs, however, when I turn to God in prayer.”
“In the quiet of prayer, I leave all confusion and stress from the outer world behind and experience the absolute peace of my sacred environment. Totally in the presence of God, I accept the love of my Creator – a love that has such depth and purity that I immediately feel safe and content.”
“Coming home to God is homecoming of the mind, body, spirit – a time with my Creator that refreshes me and prepares me for whatever lies ahead.”
A Course in Miracles: Lesson 325
“All things I see reflect ideas.”
